The brief
Canny Groovy blends a nail and beauty salon with a community events group. They run relaxed meetups where like-minded people can connect through crafting and scrapbooking. The studio space is just as inclusive and welcoming.
Jodie asked me to merge both sides into one visual identity that better reflects the community. We created an eclectic, feminine brand with cowgirl and western motifs.
The approach
Branding and identity: starting from scratch, we overhauled the existing brand to create a luxurious, mature, and feminine identity - with lots of room for flexibility and playful expression through merchandise and illustration.
Strategy and development: full onboarding package including brand discovery workshops, tone & visual alignment, mood-boards, and 3 unique concepts explored before finalisation.
Concept and art direction: with the brand being highly flexible, it was vital to provide some steer for concepts around merchandising and print.
